Short answer: Picturental uses cookies sparingly, and only for the things that genuinely need them.
What we use
Strictly necessary
These keep the site working and can't be turned off:
- Authentication (set by Clerk) — remembers you so you stay logged in between page loads.
- Payment session (set by Stripe at checkout) — keeps your payment intent linked to your booking.
What we don't use
- Analytics cookies. We use Plausible, which is cookieless by design. No tracking cookie, no fingerprinting.
- Advertising cookies.Picturental doesn't show ads and doesn't share data with ad networks.
- Cross-site tracking. Nothing on Picturental follows you to other websites.
Why we don't need a cookie banner
UK GDPR and the PECR allow strictly-necessary cookies without consent. Because we don't use any other kind, we don't need to interrupt your visit with a banner.
Controlling cookies
You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings. Doing so will sign you out of Picturental but the site will otherwise still work.
