What lenses fit the ARRI ALEXA 265?

The short answer

The ARRI ALEXA 265 has an LPL mount and a 65mm sensor. LPL lenses fit directly. PL lenses fit with an adapter. Canon EF, Canon FD, Leica M, Fujifilm G, Canon RF, L-Mount, Micro Four Thirds, Sony E, Fujifilm X and Nikon Z lenses can't be adapted to its LPL mount.

What the ARRI ALEXA 265 asks of a lens

The sensor
65mm format — roughly twice the width of Super 35. Very few lenses cover it, and the ones that do are a small, expensive, hard-to-book list.
What to put on it
Dedicated 65-format glass only: ARRI Prime 65, Prime DNA, Hasselblad-derived optics. Treat anything else as a deliberate vignette, not a mistake.
A pairing that works
ARRI Prime 65 or Prime DNA. There is no budget alternative that covers the frame.
What it gets booked for
Features and title sequences where the format itself is the reason for the shot.
Worth knowing

Some cameras can have a different lens mount fitted by a technician. If a rental comes that way the listing will say so, and this table won't apply.

Sensor coverage

Lenses made for 65mm cover its 65mm sensor fully.

Lenses made for Super 16, Micro Four Thirds, Super 35, full frame and large format throw a smaller image, so expect dark corners unless you shoot in a crop mode that matches.
